Tor Olav Trøim

Chairman of the board

Tor Olav Trøim (born 1963). Elected chairman of the board in May 2008. Mr Troim graduated as M.Sc Naval Architect from the University of Trondheim, Norway in 1985. Mr. Trøim is a Norwegian citizen and is resident in the UK. His careers include Portfolio Manager Equity in Storebrand ASA (1987- 1990), CEO for the Norwegian Oil Company DNO AS (1992-1995).

Since 1995 Mr. Troim has been a Director of SeaTankers Management in Cyprus. He has in his function been central in taking the Greenwich Group to the public markets. In this function he has acted as CEO for the public companies Frontline Ltd (NYSE), Golar LNG Ltd (NASDAQ). Mr. Trøim was also the CEO of SeaDrill Ltd. until the recent takeover and intergration of Smedvig ASA. Mr. Trøim is currently Vice Chairman of Seadrill and Golar and is in addition Director of Ship Finance and Chairman of Aktiv Kapital and Seawell.

Elin Karfjell

Member of the board

Elin Karfjell (born 1965). Elected member of the Board in May 2008. She is currently CEO of Fabi Kompetanse AS. Prior to that she held the position as CFO of Ementor Norge AS. Further, she has extensive background from Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen where she was a partner for several years.

Mrs. Karfjell has a bachelor degree from 1987 and a CPA exam from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH) in 1990. In 1991 she got her authorization as state authorized auditor.

Mrs. Karfjell is also board-member of DNO International ASA and Aker Philadelphia Shipyard ASA.

Svein Aaser

Member of the board

Svein Aaser (born 1946) Member of the Board since 2008, previously chairman of the board (2007 - 2008). He is currently Executive Director of Seatankers. Mr. Aaser was president and CEO of Norway’s biggest bank, DNB and later DnBNOR, from 1998 to his retirement 31.12.2006. Mr. Aaser is former president and CEO of Hafslund Nycomed and deputy CEO of Nycomed Amersham. He has also been managing director of Storebrand Skade, NORA Food Products and of Stabburet/Norway. From 1992-94 he was president of NHO (Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise).
Mr. Aaser graduated from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration in 1970, and has a degree from IMEDE, Lausanne in 1977.

Cecilie Fredriksen

Member of the Board

Cecilie Fredriksen (born 1983) has been a member of the Board since 2006. She joined Frontline Corporate Services in London in 2007.
Cecilie Fredriksen received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Spanish from the London Metropolitan University in 2006.

Per Erik Åsmyr

Member of the Board

Per Erik Åsmyr (born in 1950) has been a member of the Board since 2005. He is currently an independent consultant and has background as CEO of Olympia Capital ASA and co-owner of Olympia Holding AS. Mr. Åsmyr graduated from the Norwegian Shipping Academy in 1981 and from the Norwegian School of management in 1976.
