Portfolio acquisition

Portfolio acquisition concerns the purchase of non-performing loans from financial institutions. Primarily, this frees up capital and focuses resources on core activities. At the same time, the removal of this debt eliminates an additional administrative burden from the clients’ operations.

We believe that business success for both our client clients and ourselves comes through open, honest dialogue. Our approach is to develop strong, long-term relationships with portfolio sellers.

We work closely with clients to determine a fair purchase price for the portfolio. We then keep the client informed of our recovery programme for a long period after the acquisition. A sharing of knowledge, information and processes right through the debt recovery programme is our ultimate aim.

There are three primary methods of portfolio acquisition – directly from the client, through an intermediary, or through the auction. We use all three techniques, but favour direct relationships with the seller. This is because we believe the sale of debt portfolios is best managed through one-to-one relationships, building a trusting and efficient partnership.

As non-performing loan recovery is our primary business, we have clear insight into the best approach to take in order to manage and retrieve the outstanding debt. We work closely with individual customers to ensure that we create repayment plans that allow them to pay their debts in a controlled and, ultimately, successful, manner. We treat each individual case with respect and work together with individual customers to develop solutions that are practical and ensure payment success.

Whether working with our client clients on the debt acquisition process, or with our customers to help them meet their debt payment obligations, we are committed to a level of professionalism and integrity unchallenged in the industry.

Through open dialogue, developing our insight and sharing our knowledge we are determined to further drive our business success over the coming years.
