Josep Bravo, Manager Portfolio Call Center, Aktiv Kapital Spain

When Josep joined Aktiv Kapital at the beginning of 2008, it was because he wanted to utilize his experience in an expanding company.

 

“I started my carrier as a debt collector in a bank, where I later had the chance to develop and improve my skills as a Credit Card Manager.  I applied for the position as Call Center Manager at Aktiv Kapital because it is a successful, expanding company that I would like to be a part of”, Josep explains.

His job as Manager of the Portfolio Call Center includes the responsibility for a team of sixty debt collectors.  Their aim is to deliver a high debt recovery rate for all the portfolios they handle.  Josep points out: “It is important to apply solutions that are practical, and ensures payment, in an efficient way.  Both our customer and employees appreciate that”.

“We are managing a growing number of portfolios, so we continuously have to recruit more collectors; this is one of our current challenges. The business of selling debt portfolios is new in Spain, and we need to attract the right people to have success. Working in the Call Center means being a part of a team which is focused on achieving service excellence.

The team spirit is important, and I try to focus on the team’s opinion when setting and applying guidelines and goals.  If possible we focus on reaching a common decision, and share the responsibilities in the team.  This way we can all have the opportunity to develop professionally.”
